SHOPPING CENTERS

In the entire post-communist bloc of Eastern Europe, with the advent of capitalism, consumerism intensified, which in turn resulted in the construction of a large number of shopping centers. In the first phase, they were mainly large supermarkets located on the outskirts of cities. Over time, the commercial space of smaller stores and services began to overtake the outdated space. There were cinemas and gyms, culture and entertainment, as well as a large range of various restaurants and bars. The centers have moved into the hearts of cities and have become temples of entertainment, often revitalizing entire quarters or changing the purpose of iconic buildings
